Everything could happen in Istanbul at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Pertevniyal and 9th ranked FMV Isikspor had identical 2-7 record. But FMV Isikspor was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Istanbul 60-63 on Saturday night. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 17-5. But FMV Isikspor won second period 10-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pertevniyal dominated on the defensive end, holding FMV Isikspor to just 5 points in first quarter. Burak Can fired 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Yigit Can chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Pertevniyal players scored in double figures. Pertevniyal's coach Omer Dogu Kanig allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Swingman Ozcan Surucu (200-83) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and added 19 points respectively for lost side. Pertevniyal (3-7) moved-up to ninth place in group A. Loser FMV Isikspor dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Pertevniyal will face Adanaspor (#11) at home in the next round. FMV Isikspor will play against Izmir B.B. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
