The biggest surprise of round 10 in the NBL took place in Pleven. Eighth ranked Spartak (2-8) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Tundja (3-7) 94-93 on Saturday evening. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. 31 personal fouls committed by Tundja helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Hrisimir Dimitrov (197-74) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Tsvetoslav Ostrev (184-86) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five Spartak players scored in double figures. Guard Stanislav Govedarov (185-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Slovenian forward Simon Finzgar (196-80, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 32 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Tundja. Spartak maintains eighth position with 2-8 record. Tundja at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Chernomorets. Spartak are looking forward to face higher ranked Balkan (#3) in Botevgrad in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tundja will play at home against the league's second-placed Levski having rather not much hope for a victory.
