Very predictable result when second ranked BC Donetsk (16-4) won on the road against 8th ranked BC Odessa (11-11) 93-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. BC Donetsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to BC Odessa's 36 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. BC Donetsk outrebounded BC Odessa 36-18 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dominican guard Luis Flores (188-81, college: Manhattan) notched 20 points to lead the effort and American power forward J.K. Edwards (202-82, college: UNLV) who supported him with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. Even 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) by American forward John DeGroat (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) did not help to save the game for BC Odessa. His fellow American import guard Andrew Washington (191-84, college: Delaware) added 14 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
