The game in Barreiro was quite interesting. Third ranked AD Vagos (10-2) played at the court of 6th ranked GDESSA (5-7). AD Vagos defeated GDESSA 66-50. The game without a history. AD Vagos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American guard Chineze Nwagbo (183-82, college: Syracuse) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International forward Joana Lopes (185-86) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four AD Vagos players scored in double figures. Canadian swingman Kendel Ross (185-88, college: Dayton) answered with 23 points and 9 rebounds and international center Luiana Livulo (187-91) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for GDESSA. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for AD Vagos. The victory allowed current champions AD Vagos (10-2) to climb to the second place. GDESSA who is 5-7 went down to seventh position. AD Vagos will have a break next round. GDESSA will play on the road against CDTN (#7) in Torres Novas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
