Sixth-ranked Alges (5-6) gave a tough game to first ranked CAB Madeira (10-1) on Saturday. The visitors from Funchal managed to secure only one-point victory 65-64. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Alges. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 19-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. CAB Madeira forced 24 Alges turnovers. CAB Madeira are looking forward to face Olivais (#4) in Coimbra in the next round. Alges will play on the road against Quinta in Carcavelos and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
