Very important is a road loss of second ranked Levski (6-4) against fourth ranked Lukoil (6-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Levski was defeated by fourth ranked Lukoil (6-4) in a tough game in Burgas 71-77. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Levski won third quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Lukoil won last quarter 18-13. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Ukrainian guard Olena Samburska (172-89, agency: LBM Management) notched 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian center Vladinka Erak (190-84) supported her with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Lukoil players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international forward Natalia Topalova-Shopova (187-80) did not help to save the game for Levski. The former international forward Petja Dzhambazka (178-77) added 20 points for lost side. Lukoil has a solid three-game winning streak. The victory allowed current champions Lukoil (6-4) to climb to the third place. They share it with defeated Levski. Lukoil will play against Beroe 07 (#5) in Stara Zagora in the next round. Levski will play on the road against the league's second-placed Dunav in Ruse and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
