Very expected game when 14th ranked Erdemir (2-8) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Olin Edirne (6-5) 88-61. The game without a history. Olin Edirne led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Olin Edirne players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Lithuanian guard Renaldas Seibutis (196-85) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). FYR Macedonian center Predrag Samardjiski (214-86, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 9 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. American power forward James Thomas (203-80, college: Texas) came up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and American-Lebanese swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Court Side) added 10 points respectively for Erdemir in the defeat. Four Erdemir players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olin Edirne moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Karsiyaka. Erdemir lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Olin Edirne will play against Karsiyaka (#7) on the road in the next round. Erdemir will play against Antalya (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
