Important game to mention about took place in Bursa. Seventh ranked Final Genclik (6-5) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Darussafaka (6-5) 66-63 in the game for the sixth place. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 17-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for Costa Rican center Hernold Gardener (205-82, college: Lon Morris JC) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Sayit Ay (185-80) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Final Genclik's coach Ali Ozbay used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Brandon Gordon (201-85, college: Alabama St., agency: EM-PA) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Engin Elhan (204-79) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Darussafaka in the defeat. Final Genclik moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with defeated Darussafaka. Final Genclik will meet league's second-placed Orman Genc in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Darussafaka will play against the league's leader Genc Banvit (#1) in Balikesir and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the TBL just one year after relegation.
