There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Gelisim (5-6) lost on the road to ninth ranked Istanbulspor (5-6) 84-75 on Saturday. Gelisim was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 28-12 charge of Istanbulspor, which allowed them to win the game. They made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Forward Nusret Yildirim (202-89, agency: EM-PA) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Center Ozan Er (200-84) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Istanbulspor players scored in double figures. Guard Sercan Topcu (185-85) answered with 21 points and 7 assists and American forward Jayme Miller (203-85) added 20 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Gelisim. Istanbulspor has a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with defeated Gelisim. Gelisim lost fourth consecutive game. Istanbulspor will face league's second-placed Kepez Bld in Antalya in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
