Regular Season Round 11: Fener.Ulker - Tofas 83-61

TBL top team - Fenerbahce Ulker (10-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Tofas (3-8) in Istanbul 83-61. The game without a history. Fenerbahce Ulker led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fenerbahce Ulker forced 20 Tofas turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Tofas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for the former international forward Mirsad Turkcan (206-76) who led his team to a victory scoring 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Bosnian-Slovenian forward Emir Preldzic (206-87, agency: Beo Basket) helped adding 11 points and 4 steals. Croatian power forward Tomislav Ruzic (208-79) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Austrian-Slovenian power forward Rasid Mahalbasic (210-90) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Tofas at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. They share it with Trabzonspor. Fenerbahce Ulker are looking forward to face league's second-placed Galatasaray in Istanbul in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Tofas will play at home against Besiktas (#6) in Istanbul and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
