Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kryvbasbasket (14-9) against eleventh ranked DniproAzot (8-15) on Sunday night. Host Kryvbasbasket was defeated by eleventh ranked DniproAzot (8-15) in Krivoy Rog 79-67. The game without a history. DniproAzot led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. DniproAzot outrebounded Kryvbasbasket 39-27 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian power forward Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklahoma Baptist, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and Latvian guard Rinalds Sirsnins (186-85, agency: Promotex) who added 9 points and 11 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was international power forward Igor Zaitsev (211-89) with 15 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and American guard Louis Hinnant (193-84, college: Boston Coll.) scored 7 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DniproAzot moved-up to tenth place. Loser Kryvbasbasket dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
