No shocking result in a game in Balikesir where third ranked Banvit (9-2) won against 10th ranked Turk Telekom (4-7) 92-77. Turk Telekom was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Banvit dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Turk Telekom's 26. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Baris Ermis (194-85) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American power forward KZell Wesson (201-77, college: La Salle) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Slovenian-Italian guard Sani Becirovic (195-81) added 17 points respectively for Turk Telekom in the defeat. Banvit has a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Galatasaray. Turk Telekom at the other side keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Aliaga. Banvit will play against Trabzonspor (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play against Aliaga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
