A very interesting game took place in Ankara. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 10th ranked Aliaga (4-8) to eleventh ranked Turk Telekom (5-7) 97-94 on Wednesday evening. Aliaga was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Turk Telekom made 28-of-33 charity shots (84.8 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Turk Telekom especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. 26 personal fouls committed by Aliaga helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by guard Mehmet Yagmur (188-87) who scored that evening 16 points and 7 assists and international forward Yunus Cankaya (199-85) supported him with 17 points and 6 assists. Even 30 points and 9 rebounds by American guard Gerald Fitch (191-82, college: Kentucky, agency: SportsTalent) did not help to save the game for Aliaga. His fellow American import forward Brandon Hunter (201-80, college: Ohio) added 17 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Turk Telekom and four Aliaga players scored in double figures. Aliaga's coach Halil Uner let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Turk Telekom moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Bornova. Aliaga at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Turk Telekom's next round opponent will be Bornova (#9) on the road. Aliaga will play against Banvit in Balikesir.
