Regular Season Round 12: Erdemir - Antalya 77-62

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Erdemir (3-8) defeated at home higher ranked Antalya (8-4) 77-62 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 50-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Erdemir looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American-Lebanese swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Court Side) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Erkan Veyseloglu (200-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Erdemir players scored in double figures. Erdemir's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard J.P. Prince (201-87, college: Tennessee) who recorded 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import guard Patrick Christopher (196-88, college: California) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Erdemir moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Antalya keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Erdemir will face Trabzonspor (#14) at home in the next round. Antalya will play against Karsiyaka (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
