The game in Ponte de Sor was quite interesting. Fifth ranked Sangalhos (7-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Electrico FC (4-5). Sangalhos defeated Electrico FC 76-60 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sangalhos. Electrico FC managed to win fourth quarter 25-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Electrico FC to just 5 points in second quarter. Sangalhos forced 21 Electrico FC turnovers. It was a good game for swingman Emanuel Silva (188-79) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Luis Fonte (191-79) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Guard Joao Lanzinha (188-89) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and guard Francisco Pinto (185-87) added 13 points in the effort for Electrico FC. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sangalhos moved-up to second place, which they share with Fisica. Electrico FC at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. They share it with Povoa. Sangalhos is looking forward to face Maia_Basket (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Electrico FC will play against the league's leader Barcelos (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
