Fourth-ranked Rilski Sportist (6-7) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Levski (11-2) in Samokov on Friday. The visitors from Sofia managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rilski Sportist. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-70. Levski dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Rilski Sportist's 28. 27 personal fouls committed by Rilski Sportist helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Levski has a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-2 record having just two points less than leader Lukoil Academik. Rilski Sportist at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Levski are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Spartak (#8) in Pleven in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rilski Sportist will play on the road against the league's leader Lukoil Academik (#1) in Sofia and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
