Regular Season Round 12: Orman Genc - Final Genclik 75-71

Very expected game in Ankara where 6th ranked Final Genclik (6-6) was defeated by second ranked Orman Genc (9-3) 75-71 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 75-71. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ertun Bozkurt (198-75) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Orman Genc's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was Costa Rican center Hernold Gardener (205-82, college: Lon Morris JC) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and forward Muratcan Esen (195-90) scored 17 points. They has a solid three-game winning streak. Orman Genc maintains second position in Group A with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Optimum TED, which they share with Vestel. Loser Final Genclik keeps the sixth place with six games lost. Orman Genc will face Darussafaka (#7) in Istanbul in the next round where they are favorite. Final Genclik will play at home against Pertevniyal in Istanbul.
