The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TED Istanbul won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best for the losing side was American forward Kristian Clarkson (202-84, college: Widener) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Sercan Tulek (-88) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Akhisar Bld moved-up to eighth place in Group B. Loser TED Istanbul keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Akhisar Bld will face higher ranked Hacettepe Univ. (#3) in Ankara in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. TED Istanbul will play at home against the league's leader Optimum TED (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
