Rather predictable result when seventh ranked USC Leipzig (7-8) won on the road against 11th ranked Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (4-11) 77-60 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by USC Leipzig. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American players dominated also this game. It was a good game for guard Lamar Morinia (183-81, college: Montana St.-Northern) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 assists. Forward Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) contributed with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. USC Leipzig's coach Dimitris Polychroniadis used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Brandon Giles (198-88, college: W.Carolina) answered with 21 points and forward Justin Sexton (203-88, college: Pomona-Pitzer) added 13 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Herzoege Wolfenbuettel. USC Leipzig moved-up to sixth place in Group North, which they share with ALBA Berlin II. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. USC Leipzig will face SC Rist Wedel (#8) at home in the next round. Herzoege Wolfenbuettel will play against Hertener Loewen.
