Regular Season Round 12: TED Kolejliler - Gaziantep 84-82

TB2L round 12 most interesting game took place in Ankara (derby !!!) between Optimum TED and Gaziantep. First ranked Optimum TED (11-1) got a very close home victory over 4th ranked Gaziantep (8-4). Optimum TED managed to escape with a 2-point win 84-82 on Saturday evening. Gaziantep trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 30-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-84 at the end of the game. Optimum TED outrebounded Gaziantep 35-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Gaziantep helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Ihsan Yalcin (200-82) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 rebounds and who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Cihan Delicay (185-83) with 23 points and forward Arif Erhan Kocamis (196-86, agency: 1x1 Sports) scored 17 points. Four Optimum TED and five Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Optimum TED has a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 11-1 record. Newly promoted Gaziantep keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Optimum TED are looking forward to face TED Istanbul (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gaziantep will play against Istanbulspor (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
