Very important is a road loss of second ranked NBC (11-4) against twelfth ranked Baskets Konstanz (3-12) on Saturday night. Visiting NBC was defeated by twelfth ranked Baskets Konstanz (3-12) in Konstanz 78-63. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of NBC. NBC was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 39-21 second half run of Baskets Konstanz. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to NBC's 22. The best for the losing side was American guard Will Chavis (181-81, college: Texas Tech, agency: Rasmussen Services) with 22 points and forward Dominik Schneider (203-85) scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. NBC's coach Derrick Taylor rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Baskets Konstanz maintains twelfth place in Group South with 3-12 record. NBC at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Baskets Konstanz will play against higher ranked Giessen Pointers (#11) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. NBC will play against TSV Troester (#6) in Breitenguessbach and hopes to get back on the winning track.
