Very predictable result in Manisa where third ranked Vestel (9-3) defeated 10th ranked FMV Isikspor (3-9) 70-61 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-61. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Arthur Johnson (206-81, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Hakan Erol (200-83) who added 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Vestel's coach Murat Polat used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was power forward Gokhan Tokatli (205-78) with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Alpaslan Uruk (-88) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Vestel moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Orman Genc. Loser FMV Isikspor keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Vestel will face Adanaspor (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
