Regular Season Round 19: UBSC Graz - Furstenfeld 83-81

The biggest surprise of round 19 in the A Bundesliga took place in Graz. Seventh ranked UBSC Graz (11-8) saved a 2-point derby victory at home edging 5th ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (11-8) 83-81 in the game for the fifth place. Furstenfeld Panthers were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian guard Dragan Miletic (195-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists. American forward Louis Graham (205-84, agency: ZAG Advocates) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American guard Anthony Shavies (191-83, college: Missouri St., agency: Court Side) answered with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard De'Angelo Alexander (198-84, college: Charlotte) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Furstenfeld Panthers. Four UBSC Graz and five Furstenfeld Panthers players scored in double figures. UBSC Graz has a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Klosterneub. and Furstenfeld. Furstenfeld Panthers lost third consecutive game. UBSC Graz is looking forward to face higher ranked Arkadia Lions (#3) in Traiskirchen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Furstenfeld Panthers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Oberwart Gunners and are hoping to win this game.
