Everything could happen in Samokov at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Rilski 2 and 8th ranked Chavdar had identical 3-5 record. This time Rilski 2 used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Troyan 98-67 on Sunday night. The game without a history. Rilski 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rilski 2 forced 24 Chavdar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Chavdar's players. Guard Lubomir Kirov (195-89) notched 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Krassimir Georgiev (198-89) supported him with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Four Rilski 2 players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds by the former international power forward Nikolai Balev (209-77) did not help to save the game for Chavdar. Guard Peter Hristov (194-90) added 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Chavdar's coach Perat Petrov gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Rilski 2 (4-5) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Cherno More U18. Chavdar lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Rilski 2 will meet higher ranked NSA (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chavdar will play against Vidabasket (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
