There was a minor upset when 7th ranked BG Karlsruhe (7-8) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked USC Heidelberg (7-8) 78-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. USC Heidelberg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American swingman Greg Baker (194-84, college: Adams St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. The former international power forward Bjorn Schoo (213-81, college: Northern St., agency: Court Side) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Tarvis Williams (205-78, college: Hampton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and forward Rouven Roessler (200-80) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively. USC Heidelberg moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Karlsruhe and Hannover. USC Heidelberg will face league's leader Bayern Muenchen at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
