Eleventh-ranked ABRO-Universitetas (7-16) was very close to win a game against sixth ranked Zalgiris-Sabonio (14-8) in Kaunas. Zalgiris-Sabonio managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts were ahead by 6 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 16-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was center Gediminas Zyle (210-88) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Vytenis Cizauskas (189-92) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Zalgiris-Sabonio's coach Priit Vene allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Swingman Povilas Rasamavicius (195-87) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zalgiris-Sabonio maintains sixth place with 14-8 record. ABRO-Universitetas at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Zalgiris-Sabonio's next round opponent will be Silute (#9) on the road.
