Regular Season Round 15: Stahnsdorf - ALBA Berlin II 74-66

Rather expected game when 5th ranked ALBA Berlin II (7-8) lost to second ranked RSV Eintracht (12-3) in Stahnsdorf 66-74 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 74-66. RSV Eintracht shot 25 for 35 from the free-throw line, while ALBA Berlin II only scored nine points from the stripe. ALBA Berlin II was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American forward Kellen Williams (193-84, college: E.Washington) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Yannick Evans (202-86) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five RSV Eintracht players scored in double figures. Power forward Andreas Seiferth (206-89, college: ALBA Berlin II) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and guard Malte Ziegenhagen (193-91) added 15 points in the effort for ALBA Berlin II. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for RSV Eintracht. They keep a position of Group North leader, which they share with Vechta. Newly promoted ALBA Berlin II dropped to the sixth place with eight games lost. RSV Eintracht will face Bayer Giants (#10) in Leverkusen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALBA Berlin II will play on the road against the league's leader SC Rasta Vechta (#1).
