Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked SC Rist Wedel (6-10) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked USC Leipzig (8-8) 82-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by USC Leipzig. SC Rist Wedel managed to win fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals and the other American import guard Lamar Morinia (183-81, college: Montana St.-Northern) who added 18 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Kay Gausa (194-92) responded with 15 points and swingman Mac-Davis Duah (186-76) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted USC Leipzig maintains sixth position in Group North with 8-8 record. Loser SC Rist Wedel keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. USC Leipzig will face ALBA Berlin II (#7) on the road in the next round. SC Rist Wedel will play against Hertener Loewen.
