Very important is a road loss of third ranked Balkan (7-7) against fifth ranked Euroins Cherno More (6-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Balkan was defeated by Euroins Cherno More in a tough game in Varna 72-77. Balkan was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 24-12 charge of Euroins Cherno More, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Simeon Iliev (202-89, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Vasil Kiossev (195-90) supported him with 24 points. Euroins Cherno More's coach Lyubomir Minchev allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by international center Krum Doychinov (206-86, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Balkan. Forward Lubomir Lilov (198-87) added 18 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Four Balkan players scored in double figures. Euroins Cherno More moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rilski Sportist. Balkan lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with seven games lost. Euroins Cherno More will play against Rilski Sportist (#4) in Samokov in the next round. Balkan will play on the road against Tundja in Yambol and hopes to get back on the winning track.
