A Bundesliga top team - Gmunden Swans (16-4) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Raiffeisen Wels (10-10) 71-60. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. Raiffeisen Wels managed to win third quarter 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Raiffeisen Wels 43-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Deteri Mayes (189-74, college: Murray St., agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Dan Oppland (203-84, college: Valparaiso, agency: SportsTalent) who added 12 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American guard Robert Holcomb Faye (185-84, college: Radford) responded with 20 points and the former international forward Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Gmunden Swans has a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-4 record. Raiffeisen Wels at the other side keep the eighth place with ten games lost. Gmunden Swans are looking forward to face Gussing Knights (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Raiffeisen Wels will play against UBSC Graz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
