There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Oberwart Gunners (12-8) were defeated at home by sixth ranked Furstenfeld Panthers (12-8) 87-79. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 26-26 run, which allowed them to win the game. Furstenfeld Panthers made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Oberwart Gunners only scored five points from the stripe.
