The game had a very big importance for second-ranked BC Donetsk as it allowed them to take a leadership position. BC Donetsk defeated 8th ranked BC Odessa at home 92-86. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-17. But BC Odessa won second period 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
