Very expected game when 13th ranked Erelita-KTU (7-19) was smashed by fourth ranked Mazeikiai (18-9) in Kaunas 88-67. The game was mostly controlled by Mazeikiai. Erelita-KTU managed to win third quarter 16-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 27-of-33 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while Erelita-KTU only scored eight points from the stripe. Mazeikiai forced 21 Erelita-KTU turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American guard Bryan Harrison (188-84, college: Georgia Coll.) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The other American import swingman Jason Warren (201-84, college: Missouri Western) chipped in 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Warren is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. Guard Vygantas Metelica (190-88) produced 8 points and power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Erelita-KTU's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Mazeikiai has a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 18-9 record. Erelita-KTU at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 19 games lost. Mazeikiai's next round opponent will be Triobet Malsta (#10) in Jonava where they are favorite.
