Bottom-ranked Puntukas managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the six-game losing streak on Saturday night. This time newly promoted Puntukas won against eleventh-ranked Delikatesas in Joniskis 88-82. They outrebounded Delikatesas 42-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Puntukas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Tadas Rinkunas (196-91) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Puntukas players scored in double figures. Swingman Zilvinas Petraitis (194-88) replied with 27 points and forward Juotas Blazys (197-82) added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Delikatesas. Puntukas (7-19) moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Delikatesas at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Puntukas is looking forward to face higher ranked Meresta (#3) in Pakruojis in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Delikatesas will play on the road against Silute (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
