We should mention about the upset which took place in Nis, where one of their biggest challengers Sindjelic Nis (8-6) lost at home to tenth ranked Viva Basket (7-7) 75-93 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sindjelic Nis. The game without a history. Viva Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Sindjelic Nis were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Dragan Bjelica (198-81) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 assists. Power forward Aleksandar Vuletic (203, college: Indian Hills CC) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Guard Milos Trailovic (198-81) produced 21 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Marko Cvetkovic (197-77, agency: BeoExcell) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Sindjelic Nis players scored in double figures. Viva Basket has a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Sindjelic Nis dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. Viva Basket will face bottom-ranked Radnicki KG 06 (#14) in Kragujevac in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sindjelic Nis will play on the road against the league's second-placed Radnicki Basket (#2) in Beograd and be promoted back to the A League just one year after relegation.
