The game in Alges was quite interesting. Third ranked AD Vagos (12-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Alges (9-7). AD Vagos defeated Alges 62-47. The game was mostly controlled by AD Vagos. Alges managed to win third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AD Vagos had a 26-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for AD Vagos especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. The former international center Ana Teixeira (184-79) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 6 rebounds. Nigerian-American guard Chineze Nwagbo (183-82, college: Syracuse) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American forward Angelica Robinson (196-87, college: Georgia) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian forward Matea Vrdoljak (186-85, agency: Promotex) added 15 points in the effort for Alges. Defending champion maintains third place with 12-3 record having just three points less than leader Quinta. Alges at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Boa Viagem. AD Vagos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Alges will play at home against Olivais (#6) in Coimbra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
