The game in Copenhagen was also quite interesting. Second ranked Svendborg (16-2) played at the court of 8th ranked SISU (7-13). Svendborg defeated SISU 89-79 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Svendborg. SISU managed to win second period 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded SISU 42-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. American forward Matt Williams (200-77, college: Montana) fired 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC, agency: Rasmussen Services) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Donald Rutherford (198, college: Catawba) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import swingman Mickey Dennis (190-78, college: JMU) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-2 record having just three points less than leader Bakken. SISU lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Svendborg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. SISU will play against Aabyhoj (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
