A very interesting game took place in Berlin. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked USC Leipzig (8-9) to seventh ranked ALBA Berlin II (8-9) 77-76 in the fight for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of USC Leipzig. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But USC Leipzig won third quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Andreas Seiferth (206-89, college: ALBA Berlin II) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Joey Ney (197-92, college: High School) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American guard Lamar Morinia (183-81, college: Montana St.-Northern) answered with 30 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for USC Leipzig. ALBA Berlin II moved-up to sixth place in Group North, which they share with Leipzig. ALBA Berlin II's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hertener Loewen (#4) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
