Very important is a road loss of second ranked Orman Genc (10-4) against ninth ranked Pertevniyal (6-8) on Sunday night. Visiting Orman Genc was defeated by Pertevniyal in a tough game in Istanbul 67-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Orman Genc. Orman Genc was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Ali Isik (205-90) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Burak Yuksel (204-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Pertevniyal players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and guard Mehmet Sinan (195-82) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Orman Genc. Orman Genc's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Pertevniyal moved-up to eighth place in Group A, which they share with Darussafaka. Orman Genc at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Pertevniyal's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Darussafaka.
