There was no surprise when 9th ranked Aiscai Kaunas (5-10) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Juventus (8-6) 77-65. It looked good early as Aiscai Kaunas took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Juventus had a 25-14 second period charge getting the lead and Aiscai Kaunas was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-77. Juventus made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Aiscai Kaunas 41-27 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international forward Aurimas Kieza (202-82, college: Hofstra, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Arunas Vasiliauskas (201-85) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Vytenis Jasikevicius (187-85) replied with 13 points and 9 assists and the former international center Povilas Cukinas (210-83) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Aiscai Kaunas. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Juventus maintains sixth position with 8-6 record. Aiscai Kaunas at the other side dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
