Regular Season Round 31: Hoverla - Azovmash 79-88

An interesting game for Azovmash (17-12) which played road game in Frankivsk against 4th placed Hoverla (18-11). Third ranked Azovmash managed to get a 9-point victory 88-79. The guests were already 15 points ahead at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 28-21 last quarter charge of Hoverla cut the lead to 88-79 at the end of the game. Azovmash made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American forward Fred House (195-78, college: S.Utah, agency: Lanshire Group) fired 34 points (!!!) for the winners (made all of his ten free throws !!!). His fellow American import power forward Demetrius Alexander (204-75, college: Alabama) chipped in 12 points and 7 assists. Four Azovmash players scored in double figures. American center Eric Coleman (200-85, college: N.Iowa, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and Belarusian power forward Pavel Ulyanko (204-79) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Hoverla's coach Evgeni Murzin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Azovmash went down to fourth position due to points difference. Hoverla at the other side dropped to the third place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
