An exciting game was played in Klaipeda. Second ranked Lemminkainen faced 4th placed LKKA-Aistes. Host Lemminkainen (11-4) defeated guests from Kaunas (7-8) 60-51. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But LKKA-Aistes won third quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lemminkainen dominated on the defensive end, holding LKKA-Aistes to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Lemminkainen forced 24 LKKA-Aistes turnovers and outrebounded them 50-30 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by LKKA-Aistes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Rita Milieskiene (175-78) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Rima Margeviciute (191-81, college: Liberty) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Santa Okockyte (176-92) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Kornelija Balciunaite (176-81) added 5 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. LKKA-Aistes' coach Aurimas Jasilionis rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Lemminkainen have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record having six points less than leader VICI Kaunas. LKKA-Aistes lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Lemminkainen are looking forward to face league's leader VICI Kaunas on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. LKKA-Aistes will play against Utena and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
