Samsun (#7) forced the game against Tarsus Bld (#6) into an overtime, but lost by seven points 84-91 on Saturday night. The game took place in Samsun. But the guests from Mersin were better at the end. Samsun trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 21-10 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 6-13. Tarsus Bld made 27-of-34 free shots (79.4 percent) during the game. The best for the losing side was American center Jessica Adair (193-86, college: George Washington) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Deniz Boz (174-82) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 assists. Four Tarsus Bld and five Samsun players scored in double figures. Tarsus Bld (9-6) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Besiktas and Botas. Samsun at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Mersin. Tarsus Bld is looking forward to face Istanbul Universitesi (#10) in Istanbul in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Samsun will play on the road against TED Kayseri and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
