Rather predictable result in Kaunas where twelfth ranked Erelita-KTU (9-19) beat bottom-ranked Puntukas (7-21) 71-56 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-56. Erelita-KTU dominated on the defensive end, holding Puntukas to just 6 points in second quarter. They also forced 22 Puntukas turnovers. Forward Karolis Pupinis (200-88) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Matas Sapiega (180-90) chipped in 6 points and 8 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Mindaugas Norkus (200-85) with 7 points and 11 rebounds and forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Erelita-KTU moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Delikatesas.
