Bottom-ranked Parklji (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 94-74 loss to seventh ranked Maribor Messer (4-9) in Maribor on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Maribor Messer led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forward Elvis Kadic (201-80, agency: Interperformances) scored 31 points to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian power forward Ilija Zolotic (207-86, agency: BeoExcell) chipped in 22 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Center Aldin Delic (204-90) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and center Jure Erzen (203-75) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Parklji players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Maribor Messer maintains seventh position with 4-9 record. Loser Parklji still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Maribor Messer will meet higher ranked Geoplin Slovan (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Parklji will play against the league's leader Zlatorog (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
