Regular Season Round 18: Leotar - Brotnjo 86-77

No shocking result in a game in Trebinje where fifth ranked SL IAT Leotar (10-7) defeated 12th ranked Brotnjo (4-13) 86-77 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Brotnjo won third quarter 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Power forward Dusko Markovic (204-74) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and chipped in 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian-Slovenian forward Branimir Josipovic (204-81, agency: Court Side) with 18 points and forward Nikola Lesko (201-83) scored 18 points. Four Brotnjo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. SL IAT Leotar maintains fifth position with 10-7 record. Newly promoted Brotnjo keeps the twelfth place with 13 games lost. SL IAT Leotar will meet Celik (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Brotnjo will play against Mladost in Mrkonjic Grad and hope to secure a win.
