Regular Season Round 15: TED Kolejliler - Basaksehir 86-65

TB2L top team - Optimum TED (14-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Basaksehir (4-11) in Ankara 86-65. Optimum TED dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Basaksehir's 36. It was a great evening for the former international center Umit Turkoglu (211-81, agency: 1x1 Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Barkin Cinar (193-83) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Tyrone Anderson (193-84, college: Concord) with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Adnan Sevda (206-86, agency: EM-PA) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Optimum TED have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group B with 14-1 record. Basaksehir lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Beykoz and TED Istanbul. Optimum TED will play against Selcuk Universitesi (#5) in Konya in the next round. Basaksehir's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Istanbulspor.
