Ninth-ranked BC Odessa (12-17) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Budivelnyk (22-6). The visitors from Kyiv managed to secure only two-point victory 87-85. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Budivelnyk made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Budivelnyk outrebounded BC Odessa 40-26 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. BC Odessa was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Lamayne Wilson (204-80, college: Troy) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Zach Morley (203-83, college: Wisconsin) helped adding 10 points and 7 rebounds. Budivelnyk's coach Josep Berrocal allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side guard Andrew Washington (191-84, college: Delaware) responded with 27 points and 5 assists and forward John DeGroat (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Budivelnyk maintains second place with 22-6 record behind leader BC Donetsk. BC Odessa lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 17 games lost. Budivelnyk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BC Odessa will play at home against BC Kyiv (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
