Everything went according to plan in Istanbul where third ranked Efes Pilsen (13-4) beat 11th ranked Erdemir (5-12) 78-71 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-71. The best player for the winners was international power forward Kerem Gonlum (208-77) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian guard Igor Rakocevic (191-78) chipped in 20 points. The former international forward Erkan Veyseloglu (200-83, agency: 1x1 Sports) produced 12 points and 4 assists and American-Lebanese swingman Antwain Barbour (196-82, college: Kentucky, agency: Court Side) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests.
