Bottom-ranked Aalborg managed to get a second victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time they outleveled ninth-ranked Amager BK 98-41. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 57-point difference suggests that Aalborg is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. The game without a history. Aalborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Amager BK to just 4 points in second quarter and to 13 points in first half. Aalborg dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Amager BK's 22. Aalborg forced 26 Amager BK turnovers and outrebounded them 48-29 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Amager BK's players. American guard Marquis Hall (183-87, college: Lehigh) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 8 steals. The other American import power forward Barkley Falkner (203-86, college: Sam Houston St.) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Aalborg players scored in double figures. Aalborg's coach Thomas Quaade felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Peter Simonsen (185-88) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Morten Lisby (198-88) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Amager BK. Aalborg maintains tenth position with 2-19 record. Amager BK at the other side keeps the ninth place with 17 games lost. Aalborg will play against higher ranked Horsholm (#4) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Amager BK will play against Vaerlose (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
